Who We Are

System 5 started in 2005 as an Industrial IT consulting firm serving  the greater Chicago area and Wisconsin.

We lead the design, development, installation and commissioning of automatic control systems for various industries and applications (chemical, microelectronics, power, utilities).

We designed, developed and installed various Distributed Controls Systems (DCS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Systems (SCADA).

We designed, developed and installed data collection, transformation, archiving and reporting systems built around OPC servers (GE, Rockwell, Matrikon) and data historians (Intellution, Wonderware, OSI PI, RS SQL).

We integrated and customized Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to meet customer applications and process requirements. Integrated laboratory instrumentation with information systems.

We developed, tested, installed and commissioned custom data mining and reporting systems built around relational databases (MSSQL, Oracle) using open standards (ASP.Net, DHTML, XML, MSSQL Reporting Services, MS Data Access Pages).

We specified instrumentation and created documentation (including electrical schematics and power distribution drawings) for installation and start-up of turnkey systems.

We designed and implemented industrial network solutions for control and monitoring systems.
